New Connecticut Association Affiliates with SCRS

The recently formed Connecticut Collision Repair Specialists (CCRS) has become a Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) state affiliate. The CCRS says it’s committed to promoting industry unity within the state.

"Finding common ground with insurers and other industry segments creates a positive and productive business climate for all involved parties," said CCRS Executive Director Lisa Siembab. "It’s important for the consumer to see this kind of cooperation because it leads to a favorable perception of the industry and experience – something we’re all striving for."

The CCRS also believes education and increased professionalism of the industry are important. Prospective members must, within a year of joining, meet the definition of a Class A collision repair center as defined by the Collision Industry Conference (CIC).

SCRS Chairman Gary Wano said he was happy CCRS wanted to join the national organization.

"As collision repair professionals, we’ve seen time and again that divisiveness rarely, if ever, leads to productive, sustainable success," Wano said. "That makes CCRS’s passion for inter-industry teamwork refreshing and welcomed.”
