SCRS Releases New Video on Welder Settings, Test Welds

SCRS announced it has released a new video about squeeze type resistance spot welding considerations in machine settings and weld testing.

The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) announced it has released a new video about squeeze type resistance spot welding considerations in machine settings and weld testing. Welding machine setup and destructive weld testing is currently a not included operation in all three estimating systems, and this video offers an overview of steps involved and considerations to make when preparing to weld.

The video was first shared as a part of the SCRS Education Committee’s presentation during the association’s open board meeting in Nashville, Tenn., in April.

SCRS has also developed a quick-reference worksheet to print, laminate and keep with a shop’s welding machines that is available online at https://scrs.com/technical-information-by-topic/ under “Destructive Weld Test Worksheet.”
