CARSTAR Connecticut Raises Over $11,000 for Make-A-Wish Foundation

CARSTAR Connecticut‘s first annual CARSTAR Charity Golf Tournament at Quarry Ridge Golf Course on Sept. 25, part of CARSTAR’s Super’Stang Muscle Tour to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation, drew 65 golfers and raised more than $11,000 for the charity. The CARSTAR Super’Stang tour, which showcases a 1967 prototype Mustang, has raised more than $250,000 to date for Make-A-Wish. The local gift of $11,000 will enable the chapter to grant the wish of one Connecticut child with a life-threatening medical condition.

“Our chapter is thrilled to celebrate the first-ever CARSTAR Charity Golf Tournament here in Connecticut,” said Tim Friar, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut. “We are truly grateful to have the opportunity to interact with an incredible national partner on such a local level and appreciate the support of every individual involved with the tournament.”

CARSTAR Connecticut includes six stores that worked together to put on the charity event.

“The golf tournament was a great opportunity for our six Connecticut stores to come together with our vendors and area businesses to make a difference,” said Lisa Siembab of CARSTAR Connecticut. “We were excited to have the Super’Stang make a stop at our golf tournament not only because of its value as a historic car, but also because it is a symbol of our national commitment to this cause.”
