Registration is still open for the eighth annual I-CAR Education Foundation Golf Tournament, sponsored by PPG Industries, to be held on Thursday, July 30, in Washington, D.C. at the Langston Golf Course.
“This year’s golf tournament will help support a cause dear to everyone within the collision industry,” said Scott Kruger, I-CAR Education Foundation executive director. “Part of the proceeds raised will go toward the Lon Baudoux Legacy Scholarship to support a student in collision repair and honor Lon’s lifetime of contributions to collision repair and education.”
“PPG is excited and honored in taking on the title sponsorship role for this year’s I-CAR Education Foundation Golf Tournament,” said Domenic Brusco, senior manager of Industry Relations for PPG Industries Automotive Refinish. “PPG has been a continued supporter of the I-CAR Education Foundation and its contributions to automotive collision repair schools, instructors and students. I invite the industry to join us during this event to help raise additional funds for those looking to enter the collision repair industry.”
In 2008, this event raised over $18,000 for the I-CAR Education Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign, and the 2009 event is on track to be the largest annual golf tournament fundraiser to date for the I-CAR Education Foundation.
The event is open to all industry professionals and is not limited to those attending the CIC and I-CAR meetings that week in Washington, D.C. To register, visit www.i-car.com/meetings.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for hole sponsors at $150 each, and promotional sponsors range from $250 to $2,500. Call the foundation at (888) 722-3787, ext. 282 for additional information.
