CARSTAR Connecticut, sponsors and 74 golfers raised $13,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the second annual CARSTAR Charity Golf Tournament at Quarry Ridge Golf Course on Sept. 10.
CARSTAR Connecticut’s golf tournament is part of a nationwide effort to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. On a national level, the autobody franchise network has raised more than $420,000 to date. The local gift of $13,000, presented at the dinner following golf play, will enable the Connecticut chapter to grant the wish of one area child with a life-threatening medical condition.
“The golf tournament was a great opportunity for our six Connecticut stores to come together with our vendors, customers and area businesses to make a difference,” said Lisa Siembab, director of Business Strategies. “We are fortunate that we increased our contribution from last year and anticipate even more for next year.”
“Our chapter is thrilled to work with the CARSTAR stores here in Connecticut,” said Kim Smith, director of External Events of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut. “We are truly grateful to have the opportunity to interact with an incredible national partner on such a local level and appreciate the support of every individual involved with the tournaments. We especially thank CARTAR employees and customers for helping to grant magical wishes not only here in our state-but to courageous children all over the country.”
