Service King Collision Repair Centers, a member of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), is readying its contribution to the nationwide Recycled Rides vehicle donation program.
The program is a community awareness project whereby members of NABC repair and donate recycled vehicles to families in need.
Participating collision centers are scheduled to make simultaneous vehicle donations throughout the country this coming Monday, Nov. 23.
“We’ve got the polisher going and our whole team is getting this car ready,” said Danny McKinley, Service King’s vice president of operations. “We have the big green ribbon and all the paperwork ready. This has been a labor of love and it’s great to see it coming together, especially at this time of year. We know the family getting this vehicle will have a great holiday and that this donation will make a big difference for them."
McKinley thanked Service King’s West Ft. Worth team for donating their time to repairing the vehicle, as well as vendors GreenLeaf Auto Recyclers, LKQ Corp., North Texas Tire, American Auto Salvage, Metro Interiors and English Color, in addition to the Republic Group, who donated the vehicle.
The vehicle will be donated to the Okereke family, which the Interfaith Housing Coalition of Dallas placed with Service King. The Nigerian family is in need of a vehicle due to the special needs of their 6-year-old son who is in a wheel chair and has been riding the bus to and from all his many medical appointments.

The donation ceremony will take place at Service King Collision Repair of West Fort Worth, 2951 W. Loop 820 S, Ft. Worth, Texas 76116, at 11 a.m, Monday, Nov. 23.
