SEMA Predicts Larger PBE Section, New Exhibitors

Two weeks after exhibit space sales opened, SEMA is claiming that many exhibitors are returning to the Paint, Body & Equipment (PBE) section with larger booth space, and several new manufacturers are exhibiting for the first time in 2010. The PBE area debuted as a formal SEMA Show floor section one year ago.

“Paint and body are essential in the automotive specialty equipment market,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of communications and events. "The creation of the floor section at last year’s show was just one step in adding value for this important audience. We have much more planned for 2010 and will continue to deliver more to both exhibitors and buyers in this market.”

Some of the returning vendors include: Sata, PPG, Nordson, Wagner, Innovative Tool, Seymour of Sycamore, Catalyst, Blair Equipment, Car-O-Liner and EZ Mix. Some new companies include Sartopius, Celette, Matrix, Reliable and Auveco.

Organizers announced earlier this year that the PBE area would be larger and in a more prominent area in 2010, compared to the previous year. SEMA expects it to be 50,000 square feet, which is almost triple what it was in ’09.

The SEMA Show will be held Nov. 2-5, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The SEMA Show is a trade show produced
by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), a nonprofit trade
association founded in 1963. Since the first SEMA Show debuted in 1967,
the annual event has served as the leading venue bringing together
manufacturers and buyers within the automotive specialty equipment
industry. Products featured at the SEMA Show include those that enhance
the styling, functionality, comfort, convenience and safety of cars and
trucks.
