Color Formula Retrieval System Updated for Sikkens Mixit Pro

AkzoNobel Car Refinishes has announced the release of the latest upgrade to its Sikkens Mixit Pro color formula retrieval system. Sikkens Mixit Pro 1.3 adds new features and functionality to a system that already delivers ease of use and first-time-right color formulas, plus an array of advanced repair management and information tools, AkzoNobel says.

Director of Color Marketing Ben Zweers says that Car Refinishes has been listening carefully to what customers and users say about Mixit and has responded with improvements geared to the ways customers work and what they say they need the most to boost performance and increase profitability.

"There’s absolutely nothing more important to our customers — and their customers —than color accuracy, so we’ve made a lot of adjustments to make it even easier to achieve a perfect color match," says Zweers. "The new release allows customers to compare candidate formulas recommended by our Automatchic color matching tool, to search for custom colors per product line and to view the color code on the queue screen and color chips on the measurement screen. We’ve also greatly expanded the reporting capabilities of Mixit Pro to help bodyshop operators to increase their efficiency and get a better handle on the day-to-day operations."

Zweers notes, for example, that among the six new reports introduced with Mixit Pro 1.3 are mix accuracy reports, inventory reports and painter reports, that the new release runs on more than one computer simultaneously on networks hosting several PCs, and that it can be tightly integrated into bodyshop management systems.

Director of Marketing Ralf Schueler points to Sikkens Mixit Pro 1.3 as an example of what distinguishes AkzoNobel’s approach to color.

"Getting color right is no accident," he says. "It takes a great deal of skill, great products and great tools. Our approach to color is to help our customers on every level – with customer support, constant improvements in our products, and the most advanced set of tools on the market. Mixit Pro 1.3 is a fine example of how we are trying to increase excellence in color by focusing on tools that boost performance, enhance color accuracy, and deliver customer satisfaction."
