1-800 Radiator & A/C to Participate in NABC’s Recycled Rides Program

The National Auto Body Council (NABC) has announced that 1‐800 Radiator & A/C has agreed to provide free of charge all the engine cooling parts needed to correctly repair the vehicles that are part of the program.

“The donations from 1‐800 Radiator & A/C will help participating shops save on the materials they must buy to repair the cars,” said Nick Notte, chairman of Recycled Rides and president of Sterling Autobody Centers. “This, in turn, will create an opportunity for more repairers to donate their skills to this wonderful program.”

“1‐800 Radiator & A/C is excited to be a part of the positive contributions NABC and Recycled Rides are making in our communities,” said 1‐800 Radiator & A/C National Account Manager Kurtis Keala. “Recycled Rides is all about getting involved. Our locations have participated on the local level, but we felt it was time to step up and contribute to the program on a much larger scale.”

1‐800 Radiator & A/C is the largest independent distributor of automotive engine cooling and climate control products in the U.S., with over 230 independently owned and operated franchise distribution centers. The company provides same day service to over 97 percent of the U.S. market. Main product lines include radiators, A/C condensers, electric fan assemblies as well as A/C compressors and other A/C parts.

The Recycled Rides program is an NABC initiative that involves all segments of the collision repair industry, including repairers, insurers and industry vendors, who come together to give away reliable transportation to families and charities in need. This year’s Recycled Rides target donation date – known as Ride‐Away Day – is November 22, 2010, the Monday before Thanksgiving.
