Indiana CARSTAR Group Raises $12,000 for Make-A-Wish

CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts of Northwest Indiana held their 5th annual charity golf outing benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana – Indiana Region. The event hosted over 55 hole sponsors and 115 golfers. With the help of corporate sponsors such as 3M, BASF, CCC, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Finishmaster and Hertz, CARSTAR generated funds to grant two wishes. A $12,000 check was presented to Make-A-Wish.

The first wish granted went to Katie, a 6-year-old girl from Whiting, Ind. Katie suffers from AML, a life-threatening condition that causes an abnormality in her white blood cells. Her wish was to travel to Walt Disney World and ride on all of the rides, especially roller coasters. Her wish was granted, and the family had an amazing time.

The second wish has been designated for John, a 17-year-old football player from Dyer, Ind. John battles Leukemia. He is currently going through chemotherapy, so his wish is undetermined at this point. John did say, however, that his wish will have “Something to do with football.”
