High School Grad Receives Newly Refurbished Car from 911 Collision Centers

Thanks to 911 Collision Centers headquartered in Tucson,
Ariz., a high school graduate is riding off to college with a newly
refurbished 2005 Chevy Cavalier.

Christian Thompson, a 2011 graduate of Ironwood Ridge
High School, was the lucky grand prize winner in a drawing held at dawn during
Project Graduation, a drug/alcohol free, all-night evening of fun and safety on
graduation night that 911 Collision Centers, among other companies, sponsors.
The national program’s goal is aimed at keeping graduating seniors off the
roads on one of the most dangerous nights of the year.

According to Sue Conto, chair of Project Graduation, 95
percent of the senior class participated in the event this year.

The original vehicle was purchased with donations from
parents and community support, then completely refurbished by 911 Collision
Centers.

"It’s very rewarding to again be part of this
important program to keep our kids safe," said Michael Quinn, co-founder
of 911 Collision Centers, who has sponsored Project Graduation since its
inception in 2004. "We want to thank all of our team members at our Oro
Valley location who poured countless hours and expertise into refurbishing this
vehicle. Most of all, we congratulate the parent volunteers and the Oro Valley
community for their tireless efforts and support to make Project Graduation
such a big success."ton desisto, 911 collision centers marketing representative, sue conto, project graduation event chair, and lucky 2011 ironwood ridge high school graduate, christian thompson. (photo by stan winetrobe)
