Honda Motor Co. Names Zara’s Collision Center Certified Body Shop

Zara’s Collision Center has been honored by the Honda Motor Co. with the designation of Honda Certified Body Shop because of Zara’s use of original equipment parts. The announcement was made by Zara’s co-owner Brad Zara, who was notified of the certification by the local dealership, Honda of Illinois.

"Honda recognizes a body shop because of participation in performance enhancement programs and technology for parts ordering," said Zara. "Some of the paint companies involved are DuPont Performance Coatings, Sherwin-Williams, PPG, BASF and AkzoNobel. The parts-ordering technology is with OEConnection’s CollisionLink."

Honda notes that certified body shops are committed to repairing a vehicle to look like new and maintain its value at the time of trade-in or re-sale. A Honda-certified body shop must employ trained, competent technicians, follow recommended repair procedures and use quality refinish products, according to Zara’s.
