Enter the SATA Spray Gun Design Contest

SATA is holding a contest to find out who can design the most appealing and unique finish on a SATAjet 4000 B spray gun.

SATA is holding a contest to find out who can design the most appealing and unique finish on a SATAjet 4000 B spray gun. This is targeted at painting professionals, custom painters, airbrushers and other designers.

Since 1998, SATA has periodically launched spray guns with exclusively designed surfaces. Since the beginning of 2010, the company has had the technology to transfer pictures – almost looking like a photo – on to the spray gun body.

"This possibility gives the design competition a special attraction," says Albrecht Kruse, president of SATA. "Who can claim to have a self-designed spray gun?"

The prize for the three best designs is such a spray gun. The three best designers will receive a SATAjet 4000 B DIGITAL with their own design applied and will be invited to visit SATA. The rankings 4-10 will obtain a SATAjet 4000 B DIGITAL in regular design.

And possibly, the winner will be especially honored: If the motif is suitable, it will be marketed by SATA as a special edition spray gun, which means that it will be part of a wide range of sought-after SATA special editions. Plus, the winner’s name will be mentioned together with famous artists of this industry, such as Chip Foose or Leah Gall, who designed unique SATA special editions in the past.

Entry deadline for the drafts is April 30, 2012.

The competitive designs will be judged by a jury in terms of special originality and suitability to be printed on the spray gun.
