AkzoNobel Achieves Third Navistar Diamond Status Recognition

AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas announced that Navistar International Corporation has, for the third consecutive year, selected them to receive the Diamond Supplier Award. This acknowledgement is earned by a select number of suppliers who exceed performance expectations for quality, delivery and responsiveness; demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement; and meet warranty, pricing and strategic guidelines.

AkzoNobel provides automotive coatings and related products for commercial vehicles produced by Navistar, including buses and trucks.

Persio Lisboa, chief procurement officer with Navistar Inc., said in the notification letter, "Diamond Suppliers earn this distinction by their ability to meet and exceed our performance expectations for quality, delivery and cost. In addition, Diamond Suppliers are strategically aligned with International’s business goals and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.”

"For the third consecutive year, Navistar has chosen to award us the Diamond Supplier Award, which is the pinnacle of recognition that a supplier attain from their organization,” said David Davis, director of sales for Commercial Finishes. “This award symbolizes our ongoing commitment to working with our customers to achieve their goals and helping them to operate more efficiently. As the global coatings leader, we too appreciate the value of a strong strategic partner. We look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.”
