New Orleans will open its doors to the members of the AkzoNobel Acoat selected Winter National Performance Group. An estimated 200 attendees representing businesses from both repair and distribution will gather Feb. 23-25 at the historic Roosevelt Hotel.

This meeting marks the 35th semi-annual gathering. It is the first of two NPG events annually hosted by AkzoNobel.

Attendees will participate in an extensive offering of classes designed to promote practices intended to perpetuate sustainable business models. The curriculum will address industry trends, technology and leadership training.

Featured keynote speaker for the event will be Kim Hazelbaker, senior vice president of the Highway Loss Data Institute. He will speak on how advances in technology and safety are affecting vehicle reparability. Other speakers will be Erica Eversman, chief council for J.D. Vehicle Information Systems, and Steve Marks, industry support manager with I-CAR.

“For over 25 years, Acoat selected has contributed to the advancement of the collision repair industry by raising awareness, sharing knowledge and crafting solutions to critical industry issues. Sustainable business practices are rapidly moving from a perceived need to an absolute business requirement. The cause of making sustainability real and achievable for the collision repair industry is occurring today. Achieving this goal will be a key focus for future initiatives of AkzoNobel,” said Mike Sillay, North American Services manager for AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas.
