AkzoNobel Enlists Process Centered Environment Pioneer as Program Advocate

AkzoNobel Car Refinishes Americas announced that process centered environment (PCE) pioneer John Beckworth has joined its North American organization’s Strategic Accounts organization. His primary focus will be the advancement of the company’s PCE initiative within the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Beckworth was one of the industry pioneers with the PCE concept, according to AkzoNobel. As the former co-owner of Collision Works in Baltimore, Md., he introduced process improvement programs in early 2004. Beckworth has also been a vocal industry proponent for the advantages of PCE, frequently serving as a subject matter expert for programs throughout the U.S. and Canada.

“John Beckworth is one of the most respected names in the collision repair industry,” said Tom Moreland, director of Strategic Accounts for AkzoNobel. “We’re fortunate that John is choosing to join with AkzoNobel as he advances into this next phase of his career. We’re certain that our current and future customers will benefit from the practical experience that John brings regarding the advantages of implementing process centered environments and the AkzoNobel solution.”
