AkzoNobel Sikkens Autoclear Superior 250 and Colorbuild Plus Receive Chrysler Approval

Chrysler Motor Corporation has approved two products offered by AkzoNobel Car Refinishes North America. The products, Colorbuild Plus and Autoclear Superior 250, are marketed under the Sikkens brand.

Colorbuild Plus is the second generation of the original colored undercoat system from AkzoNobel. This undercoat can be applied to a variety of substrates and is also VOC compliant.

Autoclear Superior 250 was specifically designed to work in conjunction with Autowave, the company’s waterborne basecoat system. It also complies with the new California VOC regulations.

“We are extremely pleased to receive this acknowledgement from Chrysler,” said Tim Loden, director of marketing for AkzoNobel Car Refinishes Americas. “These products represent two key technological advancements for both AkzoNobel and the collision repair industry. These approvals are critical in ensuring our ability to meet the needs of our customers.”
