AkzoNobel Sponsors Ford’s Paint and Body Technology Center

AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishes Americas has invested with the Ford Customer Service Division to assist in building Ford’s newly opened Paint and Body Technology Center.  

The facility is part of the Wallis Technical Center and is located in Detroit, Mich.

Primary activities performed at the facility include crash development and testing, fabrication, paint and composites, special vehicles, vehicle noise-vibration-harshness testing and refinishing and collision services.

“Ford Motor Company is very happy to have AkzoNobel as one of our partners in the new Ford Paint and Body Technology Center,” said Senior Engineer for Paint and Body Repair Gerry Bonanni. “AkzoNobel brings both innovation and global coatings expertise to Ford for evaluation and implementation. We rely on them for answers for new substrates and new approaches to collision repair in the ever-changing world of coatings.”
