The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has announced it will host four new Service Information Workshops in Florida. These workshops are designed to educate shop owners and technicians about the numerous service information sources available to automotive repair shops.
Free workshops will be held:
- Tuesday, Aug. 26, in Tallahassee at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites
- Wednesday, Aug. 27, in Orlando at the Renaissance Orlando Hotel Airport, and in Tampa at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tampa/Rocky Point Island
- Thursday, Aug. 28, in Fort Lauderdale at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel
The educational agenda includes discussions on computers and Internet resources necessary to access service information; manufacturer and third-party Web sites; diagnostic tools that may assist in handling a repair most efficiently; and the role of the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF). Attendees are encouraged to ask questions to address specific service information issues they have experienced. Attendees are also eligible to participate in drawings for training videos and subscriptions to OEM service information Web sites.
Additional workshops are scheduled for Delaware, Nevada and New Mexico. For specific dates, locations and times of ASA workshops, visit www.asashop.org/keys.
