BodyShop Solutions Releases Software for Supplements and Diminished Value Calculations

Collision repair software provider BodyShop Solutions has released two new applications to help body shops address supplements and diminished value calculations. The products are available for purchase online from BodyShop Solutions.

The first application, Supplement Request Generator, will automatically generate a supplement request from information taken from the user’s estimating system. With this software, the shop can fill out a request form and email or fax it in about 30 seconds, BodyShop Solutions founder John Shortell says.

Shortell says he created the Supplement Request Generator to add to his CIA (Combat Insurer Abuse) line of software. Shortell believes that insurers require forms for supplements is a calculated plan by insurers to discourage small supplement requests.

The second application, Diminished Value Calculator, can create a diminished value report in seconds by importing most of the information from the user’s estimating software. BodyShop Solutions says its Diminished Value Calculator is simple to use, easy to understand and inexpensive. It allows users to include a diminished value report with every estimate or final invoice. The product was formerly only available as part of the BodyShop Office Suite, but is now available as a stand-alone product.
