CAR-O-LINER Company and Mentor, Ohio-based DCR Systems, which offers turnkey collision repair facility operations to dealerships, signed a long-term global business partner operating agreement during NACE 2008.
Under this agreement, CAR-O-LINER Company, with its 26 distributor locations in North America, will work closely with DCR Systems by supplying and installing CAR-O-LINER collision repair systems in DCR’s new and existing lean-based collision centers.
DCR Systems also recently formed an alliance with Toyota Motor Sales USA to offer DCR’s patent-pending, lean-based operations model exclusively to Toyota dealerships that choose to outsource the management of their collision center operations.
At NACE, CAR-O-LINER debuted its new “QUICK 42” lean-based bench repair system, live welding demonstrations and EcDesign facility renderings for customers.
Ken Freisen from Concours Collision Centres in Calgary, Canada, and Michael Giarrizzo of DCR Systems were keynote speakers on lean manufacturing principles in an open forum to the company’s distribution team. The pair outlined their firsthand success stories of implementing the principles of lean operations in collision repair environments.
