CARSTAR is 101st Largest Franchise System Worldwide

CARSTAR Franchise Systems Inc. announced its rank as the 101st largest franchise operator in the world in the 2008 Franchise Times Top 200 Franchise Systems.

The monthly publication releases its list of the Top 200 franchise systems each year, ranking them according to worldwide sales, domestic and total units and the percent franchised. CARSTAR grossed $594 million in sales in 2008 and 397 stores worldwide, increasing its number of stores from 2007 by 4 percent.

“With the guidance of an incredible management team, CARSTAR continues on a path of consistent growth,” said Dick Cross III, CARSTAR CEO and board chairman.

Beyond its stores in the United States, CARSTAR also has more than 130 locations in Canada, making it the largest collision repair group in North America. The company says it also plans to expand into Australia.

CARSTAR attributes its success to “world class marketing support,” in addition to a corporately managed insurance department that has relationships with regional and national insurance groups.

CARSTAR says it has also put industry impacting systems in place to increase franchisee efficiency, such as “FACTS” and “EDGE”. FACTS is part of an information technology initiative that combines online forms with real-time reporting, offering franchisees efficient data support. The EDGE model serves as an operational service program for franchisee achievement, according to CARSTAR.
