CARSTAR Names New Director of Field Development

CARSTAR Franchise Systems, Inc. has named Paul Evans assistant vice president, director of field development. Evans joined CARSTAR three years ago as a regional service manager in the northeast and most recently served as director of franchise development.

The franchise development department focuses on adding a steady flow of franchisees into the system that exhibit "best-in-class" qualities.

"Paul’s recent performance and contributions give us a high level of confidence about his playing a major part in achieving that objective," said Dick Cross, CARSTAR chairman and CEO. "We now refer fondly to Paul’s ‘breaking the code’ for how to explain the benefits of a CARSTAR affiliation to independent owners and to his leadership in creating the first continuous flow of unsolicited inquiries from franchise prospects about how to become part of the CARSTAR family."

Evans will take on the additional responsibilities of mentoring and developing new members of the CARSTAR field sales force and achieving the plan for franchise additions for 2008 and beyond. Evans is an ex-police officer with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business communication, sales, service and marketing from Indiana University. He currently resides in Connecticut.

CARSTAR Collision includes over 390 locations in the United States and Canada. For more information, visit www.carstar.com
