CIC Repair Standards Committee Invites All Industry Stakeholders to Participate in Repair Standards Institute Formation

The Collision Industry Conference (CIC) Repair Standards Committee announced that the group will host an information session for all industry stakeholders on Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Pavilion 6 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The goal of this meeting is to establish the next steps to create the Standards Institute that was proposed during the July CIC meeting.

The Standards Committee has worked for over two years to build the framework for industry standards. The formation of the Standard Institute structure is viewed as the next step necessary to produce and promote repair standards within the industry, the committee says.

"So many people in our industry have expressed their excitement about this initiative — the time for mutually created standards is now," said Repair Standards Committee chair Jeff Patti from Amica Insurance. "At this meeting, we will lay the foundation and form the group that will move this organization forward. We invite all industry stakeholders to attend."

CIC says its vision is "an industry where all segments work together efficiently, effectively, ethically and respectfully to enable a complete and safe repair while facilitating the most pleasant experience possible for our mutual customer, the consumer."
