Illinois CARSTAR Shop Donates Vehicle to Local Family for Third Time

All Line CARSTAR Auto Body in Bolingbrook, Ill., a member of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), donated a vehicle a family in Bolingbrook for the third time on Thursday, Feb. 24. The program is a community awareness project whereby members of NABC repair and donate recycled vehicles to families in need.  All Line CARSTAR Auto Body has been donating a vehicle to a family in Bolingbrook since 2009.

“Every year, it gets tougher to pick the recipient family for the vehicle,” said Teresa Kostick. “This year, we received about 20 applications, and many of them have just hit hard times at no fault of their own. We wish we had more than one vehicle to give, but we know the family we chose; this vehicle will help them out immensely. We also hope that this kindness will spur the family to pay it forward.”

All Line CARSTAR Auto Body is donating a 2005 Ford Escape to a family in Bolingbrook. They have been working with Community Service Council of Northern Will County, a not-for-profit organization, to help locate the family.

“We have been very pleased with all the support we have received from the community,” says Carol Penning of CSC. “A program of this magnitude cannot be done by only a few people but by an entire community. We know the struggles many people face today.”

“One of our business partners, American Family Insurance, has stepped up yet again to sponsor the Rideaway Day,” said Teresa Kostick.

“We are fortunate to have a great relationship with All Line CARSTAR,” says Cesar Pinzon, Sales Director with American Family Insurance, “and we couldn’t be prouder to sponsor this event.”

State Farm Insurance has also answered the call by donating the 2005 Ford Escape, which is the second vehicle they have donated to All Line’s Recycled Rides Program in the past three years.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has also come on board to become a major contributor to the Recycled Rides program.

“We’ve got the polisher going, and our whole team is getting this car ready,” states Teresa Kostick prior to the Feb. 24 giveaway. “We have the big green ribbon and all the paperwork ready. This has been a labor of love and it’s great to see it coming together, especially at this time of year.”
