New Web Site Tracks Employee Training and Certifications

Illinois-based Optima Worldwide Limited has created a new Web site, BodyShopTracker.com, that can assist shops in tracking staff training and certifications. The data collected will be kept online and will provide at-a-glance overviews of training and certifications earned by technicians, painters and other employees – information that’s normally available from several different sources.

BodyShopTracker.com can also help shops stay current with their I-CAR Gold Class status and in compliance with their DRP partner requirements. When technicians are due for renewal of their training and certifications, BodyShopTracker.com will send shop management an e-mail 90, 60 and 30 days in advance informing them that their employee needs to take another I-CAR class or recertify. The Web site has modules for MSOs as well where management can see, on one page, how each of their locations is doing.

Also planned is a consumer search feature that will issue a credit score-type rating of shop training and certifications.
