PPG Automotive Refinish will present four seminars to help attendees improve on matching OE color variations and learn steps to improve their repair process at NACE in Las Vegas.
“Demystifying the Source of OE Color Variances,” Nov. 5, 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. A seminar led by Mike Henry, PPG manager, color print tools, will cover the sources of color variation at the OEM level, as well as teach techniques that can be employed to best identify and match a customer’s vehicle color when it varies from the OE standard.
PPG’s MVP Business Solutions team of collision center throughput performance experts will host three seminars about the challenges affecting collision repair centers and how to deal with them successfully.
“Competing in the 21st Century,” Nov. 5, 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m. David Knapp, PPG senior business manager, will explore industry and business challenges facing owners and managers of collision shops and how focusing on critical success factors can improve a shop’s quality, throughput and cost. According to Knapp, the seminar will help attendees achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
“Practical Application of Lean Six Sigma for Collision,” Nov. 5, 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. This seminar will focus on the process improvement science of Lean Six Sigma and how these principles can be practically applied to the collision repair process. Led by Rich Altieri, PPG senior business manager, and Jim Berkey, director of MVP Business Solutions, the seminar will teach the difference between throughput and efficiency and how practical changes in the repair process can improve cycle time.
“Kaizen Management: Building a Continuous Improvement Culture,” Nov. 6, 4 p.m.-5 p.m. Co-taught by Randy Dewing, an MVP Black Belt consultant, and Michael Gunnells, MVP Business Solutions manager, the seminar explores how shops can best train and grow talented employees from within as well as improve processes through analysis and refinement of job processes. The seminar has been approved for credit from the Automotive Management Institute (AMI).
