Sherwin-Williams and Barrett-Jackson Launch Custom Paint Line

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corp. (SWAFC) and Barrett-Jackson Auction House have created a new line of Planet Color custom automotive paint colors reminiscent of classic muscle cars and colors used by today’s top custom car builders.

Made from a series of optically enhanced custom automotive paints containing special combinations of highly reflective additives, Planet Color offers multi-dimensional finishes that are color shifting, iridescent and shimmering in texture.

“We appreciate the opportunity to team up with Barrett-Jackson and the valuable information they provided us on re-styled vehicle colors from the iconic muscle car era to the hottest colors utilized by today’s top custom car builders,” said David Kidd, SWAFC OEM business development manager for Planet Color. “The results are new Planet Color finishes that offer unparalleled durability; perfectly matching the rich, vibrant colors of both the older and new classics, as well as providing more clarity and a brilliant appearance.”

The line is also compliant throughout the United States and Canada, including California and Canada’s recently adopted tighter regulations, by now meeting 3.5 VOC regulation requirements.

Planet Color custom automotive paints are available at SWAFC branches and participating distributors throughout North America. For more information about Planet Color, visit www.planetcolor.com. For more information about Barrett-Jackson, visit www.barrett-jackson.com.
