STRANGE BUT TRUE: Driver’s Car Propels Another Car into Body Shop; Cops Find Him Asleep at the Scene

A 22-year-old man driving home at 4 a.m. crashed into a house and then struck a parked car in front of Fargo-Moorehead Custom & Collision in Fargo, N.D., sending the car crashing through the shop.

The man, who allegedly was driving drunk, was found by police sleeping in the car when they arrived. He suffered only facial injuries and stands to be charged with reckless driving, DUI and driving without insurance.

Mike Wanner, the owner of the body shop, guessed that it would take $5,000 to $10,000 to fix the huge hole in his building.

"The guy was cruising," Wanner told The Forum of Fargo-Moorehead. "I mean, he pushed a car that was in park –  a big car – right through the front of the building."
