A driving lesson on Good Luck Road in Lanham, Md., had an unlucky ending when a minivan crashed through the wall of an apartment and right into a bedroom.
On Monday morning, a man was teaching his friend an illegal immigrant and unlicensed driver to drive. Witnesses say the two were parked near the apartment building when the van suddenly accelerated and crashed through a ground-floor apartment, the Business Gazette reported. Police told the newspaper the pair were discussing driving procedures just before the accident happened.
A man inside the apartment who had been lying on the bed just moments before the crash suffered a leg injury from flying debris. The driver and passenger weren’t injured.
The pair was charged with reckless endangerment, and the driver also was charged with driving without a license.
