STRANGE BUT TRUE: Hungry 6-Year-Old Motors in Mom’s Van for the Munchies

There’s getting the "munchies," and then there’s
what a 6-year-old Oregon boy who can’t come close to seeing over the steering
wheel decided to do when hunger pangs got the best of him: pilfer
his mom’s minivan to go on a snack run.

You can probably guess the outcome of this starving squirt’s
expedition. According to a story that ran in the Bellingham Herald, Oregon
State Police say the kid crashed into several mailboxes in the Klamath Falls area
April 17 and then swerved into an opposite lane before striking a Dodge pickup.

Fortunately, the brazen boy was not injured in the accident.
The woman in the pickup he hit suffered minor injuries. No word on how much
grub he would’ve gotten with the roll of pennies he lifted from his family’s
apartment.

State police and the Department of Human Services are
continuing to investigate the crash.
