It certainly isn’t the first Volkswagen van to get a custom paint job, but Seattle-based artist JoDavid’s 2001 VW Camper/mobile Elvis museum may be the most elaborately designed we’ve come across.
AOL News reports that JoDavid got the idea for his Elvis Mobile from his wife, Marlow Harris, a sometimes Priscilla Presley impersonator, who made a sketch of his then-virgin van kitted out with a picture of Elvis. The van now features a mural of the King on its sides, and the back has been transformed into a "museum" packed to the gills with memorabilia.
"It’s like a kitschy shrine to Elvis. Fans donate little things to our museum all the time. We have a bunch of sweaty scarves given to us by Elvis impersonators," Harris told AOL News.
