USA Collision Centers Announes ‘Donate and Save’ Benefitting Leukemia/Lymphoma Charity

USA Collision Centers announced its "Donate and Save" program to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South West Ohio.

From now through the end of September for every $25.00 donation made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on behalf of "Team Annmarie/USA Collision Centers" Light the Night Walk team, USA Collision Centers will not only match that donation but also give customers 10 percent off of their repair bill up to a max of  $250.00 off.

“We not only wanted to inspire our clients to donate to our walk team but also reward them for their generosity during this difficult economy," said Joe Sanfillipo III, USA Collision chief operating officer. “Donations to ‘Team Annmarie/USA Collision Centers’ walk team may be made at any of the five greater Cincinnati USA Collision Centers locations."

This is USA Collision Centers’ seventh year of participating in the Leukemia Society’s Light the Night Walk. Last year, USA Collision Centers was in the top 10 of funds raised for all corporate teams at the Cincinnati walk.

USA Collision Centers became actively involved with the Light the Night Walk and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society after one of their own was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML) in 2003. Annmarie Sanfillipo (nee Ridenour), native of Kettering Ohio, served as office manager for USA Collision Centers since 1999 after she graduated from the University of Cincinnati. She is the late wife of Joe Sanfillipo III. On July 9, 2009, Annmarie lost her six year battle with Leukemia at age 32. Over the course of those six years, Annmarie had two transplants at the Cleveland Clinic (bone marrow 2004/stem cell 2005).

Sanfillipo said, “Although we have been very active with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for a number of years now, Annmarie’s passing has inspired all of us to work harder to do all we can to raise funds to help find a cure for blood cancers.”

Sanfillipo and fellow USA Collision Centers staff member Eddie Taylor have been very active with the Leukemia Society. In 2006, Sanfillipo was nominated for Leukemia Society’s Man of the Year. In 2008, Eddie Taylor was also nominated for Leukemia Society’s Man of the Year.

Sanfillipo has sat on the Man and Woman of the year committee since 2007 and has also sat on the “Taste of the World" wine and beer festival committee since 2007.
