Recruiting will be the forefront of many topics to be addressed at the upcoming WIN Educational Conference, May 5-7, 2013, in Phoenix, Ariz.
“We know attracting talented people to the collision repair industry is a hot topic," said Tina Clark, conference co-chair. "Understanding the myriad sub-issues related to recruiting, such as how to attract the best talent and legal considerations during the interviewing and hiring process, enables our members to be smarter employers, managers and employees.
WIN is offering Student Conference Scholarships to students enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary collision repair technology program. Each scholarship will provide the recipient with a one-year WIN membership, paid WIN Conference fee for that year, hotel fee paid for two nights based on sharing a room with another recipient and travel to the conference.
In addition to six scholarships for students, WIN also offers scholarships to employees of collision repair businesses including technicians, office employees and administrators, and to collision repair instructors.
“Offering scholarships for women to attend the conference is a natural extension of WIN’s mission to welcome new women to the industry and to educate the industry about recruiting for a diverse workforce.”
Along with rich content and scholarship opportunities, the conference is a unique forum for industry women to network and share ideas.
“The annual WIN Conference has been the home of many invaluable introductions between industry professionals, students and new members of the industry,” said WIN Board Chair Victoria Jankowski.
