Assured Performance announced the appointment of Michael Quinn as executive vice president. Quinn will assume responsibility for the general business operations at Assured Performance including sales, marketing and business development. He will also maintain a position on their Board of Directors.
Quinn is a well-known industry leader with more than 25 years of experience. He co-founded a seven-shop collision repair business in Arizona and Nevada from the ground up. After the sale of the business, Quinn worked for Caliber Collision for two years before assuming the role of president at UParts Inc., a cloud-based procurement platform.
An active participant in the industry, Quinn served as Collision Industry Conference (CIC) chairman for two years (2010- 2011) after leading several of its committees. He has also been an active board member on the National Auto Body Council (NABC) for more than 11 years, where he chaired the Katrina Relief program to serve those displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. He also initiated and chaired the Recycled Rides and the First Responder Emergency Extrication (FREE) programs. He is the recipient of numerous industry awards including the Hall of Eagles, NABC Pride Award and ASA/SCRS Humanitarian award.
“I’ve always been dedicated to the overall improvement of our industry, and this leadership position with Assured Performance fits that perfectly,” Quinn said. “In this role, I am able to leverage my knowledge and experience as a former shop owner, industry activist, and consultant in business development and education. I look forward to leading the operating team at Assured Performance and driving our OEM joint-effort, national certified body shop network to better serve consumers.”
Twenty years ago, Quinn worked with Scott Biggs, CEO and founder of Assured Performance, at the Business Development Group (BDG) and BodyShop Video, where they teamed up with dozens of other industry experts to provide business development, education, consulting, and business management services for nearly 2,000 collision repair businesses across the U.S. and Canada.
“We are thrilled to have Michael join our executive team to work closely with our staff and shop network to drive our business success,” said Biggs. “On a personal note, I am elated to be working again with my longtime friend and ally. He has the perfect background to help expand the impact and value of body shop business development, certification and our other major initiatives.”
