CARSTAR Expands MSO Network in Chicago

Company adds CARSTAR Ideal Auto Body to collision repair network, expanding presence in Chicago to 19 locations.

CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts announced that CARSTAR Ideal Auto Body has joined North America’s largest collision repair network, expanding its presence in Chicago to 19 locations.

CARSTAR Ideal Auto Body, owned by James Irmen and managed by Rob Irmen, is located at 3212 Nordic Rd. in Arlington Heights, Ill. The Irmens have more than three decades of experience in the collision repair industry.

“We are excited to be joining CARSTAR,” said Rob Irmen. “After 35 years in the collision repair business, we have seen a lot of changes. We feel that with all of the consolidators buying up shops, it will be hard for the independent owner to compete in this new marketplace. By joining CARSTAR, we will be able to keep our unique identity while having the strength of a nationwide organization behind us.”

CARSTAR Ideal Auto Body sits in a 10,000-square-foot, full-service facility that features Chief frame equipment, two spraybooths with heated downdraft, Miller and HTP welders, and Audatex estimating software.

“CARSTAR has an excellent presence and reputation for the highest customer service and satisfaction in the Chicagoland area,” said David Byers, CEO of CARSTAR. “We are happy to see the Irmens join our ever-growing network of collision repair shops, and look forward to them delivering the same high quality that CARSTAR customers have come to expect.”
