The Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce has named Ron Nagy, president of Nagy’s Collision Centers, as the 2018 recipient of its Leadership Wooster Distinguished Alumni Award.

Nagy received the award at the 117th Annual Meeting of the Chamber, held on Jan. 18.

The chamber presents the annual award to a graduate of the Leadership Wooster program who exemplifies the essence of leadership. The selection process includes an evaluation of: the leadership roles the nominee has held; the organizations in which the nominee has participated; and the individual’s contributions that have enhanced the quality of life in the Wooster area.

“I am very grateful to the chamber for granting me the leadership award this year,” Nagy said. “It’s a special honor to be included amongst the collection of past recipients in the Wooster community who have inspired me in both my personal and professional life.”

Dan Nagy, vice president of Nagy’s Collision Centers, said his brother is more than deserving of the recognition for his continued dedication to Wooster.

“Ron takes great pride in meeting both customer and industry demands, and he is always working to make sure that our equipment, education and training is constantly updated,” Dan Nagy said. “This recognition gives evidence to the fact that Ron is a dedicated, hard-working business owner who goes the extra mile when serving our community.”
