Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) will again host the National Automotive Service Task Force’s (NASTF) annual meeting in New Orleans. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13 from 1-4:30 p.m. and is open to all ASRW attendees and exhibitors. Registration is available online at www.ASRWevents.com.
NASTF is a not-for-profit organization established to facilitate the identification and correction of gaps in the availability and accessibility of automotive service information, service training, diagnostic tools and equipment, and communications for the benefit of automotive service professionals. NASTF is a voluntary, cooperative effort among the automotive service industry, the equipment and tool industry, and automotive manufacturers.
The agenda for the annual meeting includes presentations by the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA/booth C1047), the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association and many of the NASTF committees. The NASTF Vehicle Security Committee will present information regarding the LSID Registry for vehicle security professionals.
“NASTF needs to be at ASRW,” said NASTF Executive Director.Skip Potter. “Wherever technicians and shop owners congregate, NASTF needs to be there. We are 12 years old this year with several valuable services available to link independent technicians to the OEM service networks, and we will use ASRW to spread our message.”
NASTF is also exhibiting at ASRW in booth N1445. David Lowell, director of the NASTF LSID Registry (the SDRM project), will be available to answer questions about NASTF initiatives relating to vehicle security professionals as well as questions by auto repair technicians regarding the NASTF Service Information Request service.
