Keenan Auto Body to Donate Recycled Ride to National Guard Member

Pennsylvania multi-shop operation will be one of more than 100 collision repairers to simultaneously gift more than 150 vehicles through Recycled Rides on Nov. 19.

Keenan Auto Body Inc., a member of the National Auto Body Council, will be one of more than 100 collision repairers throughout the country to take part in the simultaneous gifting of more than 150 vehicles through Recycled Rides on Nov. 19. The body shop will donate a Honda Civic to Spc. Alexis Reid, member of the National Guard and the USO, an organization that supports the military and their families.

“We chose the Pennsylvania and southern N.J. USO this year due to their involvement and commitment to the military and their ability to choose a deserving recipient,” said Mike LeVasseur, Keenan Auto Body’s president and COO. “This is the sixth year that we have taken part in this fantastic project, and this year Esurance has generously donated the 2003 Honda Civic sedan to our Keenan of Avondale facility, one of our 11 locations."

Added Craig Camacho, Keenan’s marketing director, "Spc. Reid, a
Philadelphia resident, has been a member of the United States Army
National Guard for four years and is approaching her first deployment to
Kuwait later on this year. She has been taking care of her mother and
had to sell her vehicle to help pay for the cost of care and
medications, leaving her without her own transportation and creating a
hardship to get around."

Industry partners LKQ Corp, Keystone Automotive, Don Houck Parts, Carisma, 800 Charity Cars and P&B Paints assisted the shop’s body and paint techs in restoring the vehicle to pre-accident condition.
