Gerber Collision & Glass Adds Locations in Washington and Florida

New locations bring total number of Boyd Group shops to 181 in the U.S.

The Boyd Group Inc. has announced the opening of a new repair center in Washington and one in Florida. The Boyd Group now operates 181 locations in the U.S.

The first center, located in Stanwood, Wash., is 4,500 square feet in size and previously operated as Twin City Collision. It now operates under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name. With this addition, the Boyd Group owns and operates 14 repair centers in Washington.

The second center in St. Cloud, Fla., is 26,000 square feet in size. It was part of the 11 centers acquired with The Recovery Room acquisition in November 2012, but was closed for approximately a year prior to the acquisition. It has now reopened and operates under the Gerber Collision & Glass trade name.

"As we have done over the past few years, we continue our focus of expanding our business in attractive U.S. markets," said Tim O’Day, president and COO of the Boyd Group’s U.S. operations. "The new location in Stanwood helps develop the Gerber footprint in Washington and allows us to better serve customers and insurance partners located between our current locations in Burlington and Marysville. We also welcome the reopening of the St. Cloud location, which will serve Orlando and Kissimmee suburban area customers. This center is situated in an attractive location with good visibility for those traveling on the East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway."
