Sterling Autobody and Allstate Gift ‘Recycled Ride’ to Local Homeless Shelter

Refurbished vehicle donated through National Auto Body Council's Recycled Rides program.

Allstate Insurance Co. and Sterling Autobody recently gave away a refurbished vehicle through the Recycled Rides program.

A refurbished 2001 Mitsubishi Montero was presented to the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Coastal Georgia. The Network will use the car to help homeless families get to and from important appointments.

"We worry about dollars and cents every day, and we worry about making ends meet," said Lavanda Brown, member of the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Coastal Georgia. "So having something that is recycled and donated to us that we can use and really get folks to services that aren’t just going to put a Band-Aid on homelessness, but truly end homelessness, that makes me smile."
