Iowa-Based Repair Shops to Host Women-Only Auto Repair Course

R Jones Collision 1 and Shade Tree Auto, two Iowa-based auto repair shops, will host Ladies Night Out — An Automotive Crash Course. The class, set in a shop environment, will coach women on everything vehicle related, such as basic maintenance and repair and how to handle an accident scenario. The class will take place at R Jones Collision 1 (4416 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines) Thursday, July 25 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

"We understand that women may feel intimidated about their vehicle maintenance and collision repair, and we want to end that," said Christy Jones, an estimator for R Jones Collision 1. "We provide a fun environment as well as valuable information that will empower women to discuss and ask questions about their vehicle repair and service."
