Service King Awards Four Student Scholarships

Four stdents receive $1,000 scholarships and $1,500 tool grants through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

Service King Collision Repair Centers awarded four collision students with $1,000 scholarships and $1,500 tool grants through the Collision Repair Education Foundation. These scholarships are awarded to students in a school with a focus or degree in collision repair, and funds will be used to assist students with educational expenses such as tuition, books, tools, and equipment.

The student winners of the 2014 Service King Collision Repair Centers awards include:

  • Christopher Hernandez (Universal Technical Institute, Houston, Texas)
  • James George (Lincoln College of Technology, Nashville, Tenn.)
  • Joseph Mendoza (Texas State Technical College, Waco, Texas)
  • Evan Utterback (Universal Technical Institute, Houston, Texas)

“We are extremely proud of these four students and the work their schools are doing to prepare candidates for a future career in collision repair,” said Danny Wilkins associate vice president of staffing for Service King. “Service King Collision Repair Centers encourages and promotes training at all levels and works closely with partner institutions through advisory councils, committees and scholarship programs. We are committed to help foster the development of tomorrow’s workforce.”
