The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) has announced this year’s SEMA Show prize: an XPress 800 pneumatic-hydraulic universal rivet gun (MSRP $10,900), provided exclusively by Reliable Automotive Equipment, Inc. (RAE).

The XPress 800 is specifically approved for use in the Mercedes-Benz and TESLA certified repair programs, and is now approved by GM for use on the Cadillac CT6.

“This is the ultimate riveting tool,” said Dave Gruskos, president of RAE. “It can be upgraded with options to handle most all of today’s and tomorrow’s fasteners, making this the tool of the future for any shop looking to repair the more advanced structural elements on modern day vehicles.”

The set will include the XPress 800 powerpack, short stroke cylinder, C-arm, and a toolbox that includes a punch-out die for self-piercing rivets, 3mm and 5mm dies to install self-piercing rivets, and a distance adaptor.

The drawing will be held at the SCRS booth no. 11173 at 1 p.m. on Nov. 6th.

To be entered into the drawing, attendees who visit the SCRS booth will be provided with a report card that features the locations of companies that have supported the SCRS Repairer Driven Education series at the SEMA Show. Attendees who visit each sponsor listed and ask about their products and services will receive a stamp on the card from the company. Once a stamp from each sponsor company has been collected, the completed card can be returned to the SCRS booth to be entered into the drawing. All cards must be returned by 11:59 a.m. on Nov. 6th to be eligible.

“The architecture of the current and future fleet is developing at such a rapid rate, and it is critical for repair facilities to have the equipment necessary to tackle the evolving approaches automakers are using to join their vehicle components together,” said SCRS Chairman Andy Dingman. “We are really fortunate to have the support and involvement of a company like RAE that shares our vision and understands the value in giving back to the industry and those investing into the future of the trade by acquiring knowledge at a venue like SEMA. We certainly feel fortunate to offer such a highly sought-after piece of equipment, and wish all our attendees great luck in getting selected!”
