PPG’s Automotive Refinish business unit has introduced P190-6950 Extended Performance Clearcoat, an easy-to-use clearcoat engineered expressly for use over AQUABASE Plus waterborne basecoat. The new clearcoat is part of the NEXA AUTOCOLOR line of products.
P190-6950 Extended Performance Clearcoat is best suited for large repairs. It is derived from the same resin technology that provides the unique capabilities and attributes of the popular P190-6930 Performance Clearcoat, including superior flow and leveling characteristics. For production efficiency, P190-6950 features a simple mix ratio and uses the same hardeners and thinners as P190-6930. The result is a clearcoat that delivers “unrivaled gloss and exceptional appearance” on multi-panel repairs and overall paint jobs with no polishing required.
P190-6950 Extended Performance Clearcoat can be sprayed in all booth conditions, including extreme temperature and humidity, when used with P850-69XX reducers or Nexa Autocolor 2K P850-16XX thinners. In addition, this premium clear is compliant in all U.S. and Canadian refinish markets.
