AkzoNobel Car Refinishes Americas has been selected by the Mid-Atlantic Collision Repair Organization (MACRO) for a preferred paint vendor agreement that is exclusive to the company.
MACRO represents one of the largest consolidated groups of collision centers in the U.S. The group was chartered in 2001 with five founding member businesses. In less than eight years, the criteria-membership only organization has experienced significant growth. Today, MACRO is comprised of more than 50 independent collision repair centers. In total, they number approximately 75 separate locations with more than $225 million in annual sales.
“The MACRO founders were visionaries that came together with the focuses of greater efficiency and quality," commented Chris Manifold, executive director for MACRO. "These factors would result in a car being delivered more quickly and more cost effectively. We recruit only those shops with documented outstanding customer and insurance company relationships. Our strategic partnership will be a win-win for AkzoNobel and our members. Value will be driven from not only a product standpoint but also from innovative programs such as the newly announced Process Centered Environments.”
Doug Holmberg, director of sales for AkzoNobel Car Refinishes Americas, added, "The confidence that MACRO has placed with their selection of AkzoNobel is a privilege. Our goal is to work diligently on a daily basis to reinforce that trust. The products and programs from AkzoNobel fulfill the vision of the MACRO founders as well as the expectations of the members today.”
