AkzoNobel Sikkens was selected as the paint supplier for the VSR Cadillac V-series Powered Sport Rod. This custom-designed car was unveiled in the Helios Coatings booth at the 2008 SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Designed by WK Cherry LLC and constructed by Race Car Replicas, the car’s engine is a V-8 cylinder, 400-HP model from Cadillac. The color chosen for this one-of-a-kind production was Platinum Shadow, a custom blend from AkzoNobel Sikkens. Both Sikkens powder and liquid products were used on the car.

“This car is an original. It was meticulously designed and constructed. Therefore, we wanted a coating, a color and a company that was equal to the vision and craftsmanship of the vehicle,” said Wayne Cherry. “As the world’s largest coatings supplier, AkzoNobel was up to the challenge.
