Automotive Training Institute Expands Curriculum to Collision Repairers

Thirty-plus year collision industry veteran Tom McGee will lead development and introduction of ATI Collision program.

Automotive Training Institute (ATI) has announced plans to expand its training curriculum and coaching system into the collision repair industry.

“For nearly 30 years, ATI has been helping thousands of automotive repair shop owners increase their profits, reduce stress and grow their businesses into the companies of their dreams,” said Chris “Chubby” Frederick. “We recognize that collision repair business owners can benefit from our experience and expertise in business training, coaching and consulting services to improve their businesses in this highly competitive market. We are extremely pleased to have Tom McGee, director of ATI Collision, join the ATI team to lead the development and introduction of the ATI Collision program.”

McGee brings more than 30 years of experience in the collision industry to the ATI team. His experience includes collision industry relations manager for ALLDATA and nearly 18 years at I-CAR where he held a variety of positions, including president/CEO and technical director. McGee is a graduate of Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Mich., and an ASE-certified master auto body and paint technician and collision repair estimator. McGee, a recognized industry speaker, was also elected into the Collision Industry Hall of Eagles in 2001.

“I am very excited to join the ATI team,” he said. “As the collision industry continues to evolve and face new challenges, the ATI programs provide collision repair businesses with the training, coaching and consulting that will help them be highly successful in a constantly changing environment.”
