Car West Auto Body Reaches Out to Future Collision Repairers

Partnership with local schools allows students to take field trips to shops, participate in mentorship program.

Car West Auto Body, a Bay Area-based collision repair organization with six locations, has partnered with Mission Valley ROP and Silicon Valley ROP schools to enrich auto body programs for students in the Bay Area.

In an effort to be proactive with its potential future workforce, Car West has hosted field trips to its facilities and created a mentor program to connect with students. The field trips consist of a day of touring the collision repair facility and a meet-and-greet lunch with Car West’s president and CEO, Craig Moe.

“Cars are changing just as fast as technology, and Car West needs educated and well-trained students to carry on the legacy of leading exceptional auto body repair work in the industry,” said Moe. “You are our future, and we want to empower you to succeed.”

In addition, the six-location collision repair facility plans on being an active member of the MVROP Auto Body Advisory Committee, offering advice and guidance on curriculum and industry standards. They anticipate that the ongoing partnership with the school programs will help develop and grow an organic workforce for the area.
