Axalta Coating Systems has announced it will have a major presence at the annual NACE | CARS Expo and Conference in Detroit at the Cobo Center July 30-Aug. 2. Booth no. 18000 will feature a number of Axalta’s refinish products as well as the company’s 2013 Sustainability Report.
The booth will highlight Cromax Mosaic, a basecoat system engineered as an alternative to waterborne and designed to still meet VOC regulations in most of the U.S. and Canada. Show attendees can talk with company representatives and learn more about the system through eLearning training modules in the booth.
Standox and Spies Hecker UV primers will also be featured. They were developed with speed and productivity in mind, and work in conjunction with the new Axalta UV LightCoat wands/lamps designed to allow UV light to quickly expose a newly painted surface.
The booth will also feature the "Axalta Pit Stop." The No. 24 Axalta Chevrolet SS, called Brilliant Flames, makes laps around the race track, but show attendees making laps around the expo floor are invited to make a pit stop in the Axalta booth to enjoy some freshly brewed coffee and cappuccino while they relax, recharge and connect. The Axalta Pit Stop Café will feature comfortable seating and phone charging stations. Attendees can also participate in a game called The History of Innovation, where they can test their ability to match noteworthy events on the Axalta timeline.
Sustainability Report
After more than a year as a newly branded company, Axalta has been moving full speed ahead and recently launched its first sustainability report as an independent organization. The report highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability by providing performance data and featuring stories, photographs and graphics to illustrate the company’s track record.
Collision Repair Executive Symposium
Axalta is also a sponsor of the Collision Repair Executive Symposium (CRES) that will take place on Friday, August 1 at COBO Center. It will focus on business growth for the owner, executive and multi-shop operators (MSOs) and feature a variety of industry speakers presenting on market dynamics, maximizing capacity utilization, changing vehicle design, increasing repair complexity and anatomy of acquisition.
"Axalta Coating Systems is pleased to be a part of NACE once again and support the symposium," says Nigel Budden, Axalta vice president and head of its North American business. "A lot of exciting things are happening at Axalta, and we are pleased to feature some of our latest products like Cromax Mosaic. We welcome everyone to stop by Axalta’s booth where they will find a knowledgeable team eager to provide an overview of learning opportunities."
